Quito’s Festivities are an important tradition in Ecuador. It is celebrated on December 1 until December 6, it means a week. A party marked for the multiculturalism of the city, their traditions and gastronomy in which issues of miscegenation and nationalism play in an emotional, musical and colorful date.

Crazy Chiva!
Yeah! “¡Viva Quito!” is the common phrase that you can hear for all Quito`s city, also in the streets in a typical bus called “Chiva” who travel around Quito with music, dancing and singing, any special song typical in Quito like “Chuya Quiteño” or “Quito Lindo de mi vida” .
 

As soon as these activities happen in Quito’s streets, there are common games that also forms part of Quito’s party like “Cuarenta or Forty”, a card game which is played in pairs in total four persons in a small table. Celebrating it exitedly saying some typical words during the game like “caida por shunsho or muda, As que no caeras, etc.” Other games like “trompo, juego de cocos or cars” also form part of the party.

The smelling of some typical food of Quito announce a delicious food in which we can find a variety of desserts like “espumilla, pristiños, dulze de Guayaba, etc.” and some food as “fritada, tortillas de papa, caldo de patas, etc.” and other kind of food like “candelazo” a good drink to celebrate Quito`s festivity.

 

During Quito`s festivity you can admire and dance the famous towns bands in history center of Quito in which you can listen a variety of music to dance with the family or with some friends. And for finally the popular event for Quito’s party are the bulls, ole!! Ole!! is the typical word that they use to admire the event.
